CARBON & SULPHUR APPARATUS

Introduction:

 

The determination of carbon and sulphur contents in iron & steel has become an absolute necessity for all chemical and metallurgical laboratories, iron & steel plants, foundries and forging unit etc. There is a substantial saving of time as in a shot time, both carbon and sulphur contents can be determined in one action. The dual determination is excellently suitable for routine analysis.

 

Model consists of the following:

 

Controller for carbon and sulphur apparatus

 

It is a control unit. For the combustion tube furnace with digital temp. indicator and amp. indicator in a deluxe cabinet with  pt-pt/rh 13% thermocouple.

 

Combustion tube Furnace:

 

The electrical combustion tube furnace is designed with silicon carbide rods connected in series for maximum temperature of 1400 C The rods are placed in a cylindrical shaped refractory chambers fitted with end caps having provision for combustion tube and 3nos. Silicon carbide rods. The refractory chamber is supported with insulating material to reduce heat losses.

 

Glass Parts Assembly:

 

It includes a carbon burette, Absorption vessel, ‘L’ Bend with stop clock. There way stop cock, Leveling bottle, filter trap, oxygen gas bubblers, Observation tube fitted on a wooden frame with base.
